No Kings: Event Attendee Pre-Mobilization Call
I’ve only attended one demonstration since the 1970s, and there were no issues.
The Pre-Mobilization Mass Call has some tips. Here are mine from the 1970s.
- Get materials for a poster
- Make your poster, bring water
- Plan transportation to and from the demonstration
- Consider how you will respond if some protestors advocate and engage in vandalism
- Consider how you will respond to a police presence

Missouri Governor Mike Kehoe activated the Missouri National Guard ahead of the June 14 “No Kings” protests.
I did not see any MO National Guard. Police were almost exclusively directing traffic at cross streets along the protest parade route.
